So, of course, he was soon dragged into it.
Which means we two will be sweating and regretting together. We've even planned how we will coordinate our training whilst away from one another when I move.
All this being said, I still have yet to actually tell my family. I kind of mentioned it to my sister who just looked at me and rolled her eyes. And she's the nice one. So I'm thinking maybe this running venture will have to be kept secret until week thirteen. Or the day of the marathon. Whichever.
Anyway, Jake and I chose to walk in the evening and came back refreshed, enlightened--- and hungry. SO hungry in fact that we watched an hour of our favorite food show and created a gourmet strawberry short cake.

A light, buttery sugar biscuit with whipped cream, fresh strawberries and a chocolate ganache. Did I mention I also have a passion for cooking? This could make things a bit more difficult.
So today is day two. More walking, which makes me feel a bit inept to even imagine pounding my heart through 26.2 miles. As unlikely as it is, though, I'm glad I have someone to hold myself accountable.
Gotta-- mmm-- walk,
Brooke
